Description
At Carl Zeiss Meditec AG we use GStreamer in several of our products. We will give an introduction of the video capabilities of our current devices and highlight the requirements which are particularly important for our customers.
The implementations of some features require more involved solutions on the GStreamer level. In the second part of the talk we will focus on these topics. This includes:
- strategies for robust and performant recording of large video data
- dynamic adaptations of running pipelines to different use cases
- generating video overlays from Qt QML scenes
- optimizations to reduce the consumption of memory bandwidth
