Description
This talk presents the implementation of Digitally Signed Content (DSC) within GStreamer to ensure trustworthy video authenticity. We'll demonstrate our new dscsigner element, which generates cryptographic signatures for coded bitstreams, alongside dscverifier, which verifies video authenticity in real-time. The presentation covers the integration of JVET supplemental enhancement information (SEI) messages at the NAL unit level, highlighting our parser and inserter elements (such as h266seiinserter) supporting H.266/VVC, H.265/HEVC, and H.264/AVC standards. Finally, we’ll showcase how these plugins provide authenticity and provenance for RTP-based streams through C2PA.
