DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Sanchayan Maity (asymptotic.io)\nQUIC is a general p
urpose and connection-oriented transport protocol like TCP\, however\, unl
ike TCP it’s an application level protocol that’s built on top of UDP.
It is built with the aim to improve latency\, bandwidth estimation\, cong
estion and solve the head-of-line blocking that has been typical of TCP-ba
sed connections.\n\nBeing quite new\, there are some interesting challenge
s in realizing QUIC concepts and application layer protocols in GStreamer.
In this talk\, we cover:\n\n- Some basics of QUIC\n- A review of the curr
ent state and challenges of the QUIC elements\n- An overview of media-rela
ted application layer protocols (RTP over QUIC\, Media over QUIC\, etc.)\n
 - Potential future work in this space\n\nhttps://indico.freedesktop.org/ev
